Economic DEVELOPEMENT committee
Elevator Pitch Contest winner
The Economic Development Committee hosted the first Annual NAACP Missouri City & Vicinity Business and Community Showcase Event on November 13, 2021. The goal of this event was to engage small black business owners and community organizations through sharing their products and services with a physical display and a showcase pitch. Each participant had an opportunity to verbalize their products and/or service. We also engaged our young entrepreneurs to participate by hosting an Elevator Pitch Contest. The winner is scheduled to receive our assistance with developing their business idea into a real business and $500 to jumpstart their business. The winner was the Songa Brothers who are Rajon Akinseye, Joseph Songa, Joshua Songa, Isaiah Akinseye, and Micheal Osei (photo).
